Best gift

the best gift I ever got for Christmas was a DS from my parents. At the time they were the coolest thing ever. I remember that my brother woke me up and he had a DS in his hand and he was screaming " LAURA YOU GOT A DS" I was really happy but at the same time mad because my brother had woke me up. For about the next month I took it everywhere and played it whenever I could. I even took it to school.

To me this quote means that we need to take chances because we aren't going to get what we want if we don't take chances. I like this quote because it was in my 6th grade teachers class room and I read it everyday.

My Name

My name actually has meaning. My first name, Laura, is my moms middle name. My mom wanted to name am Abigail but my dad thought it was to cliche so they took my moms middle name because they thought is would go good with my middle name. My middle name is Guadalupe. My parents gave me this middle name because I was born on the day of the Virgin Mary when completed is more commonly know as the day of Guadalupe. So my parents named me Guadalupe but growing up my family called me Lupe.

What I'm grateful for

This past year has been kind of bad for the American society but there is still things that we are all grateful for. I am grateful for another year of good health. I am also grateful for my family and all my friends. I am grateful for my education and house. I am grateful for my basketball team. And I'm grateful the luxuries that I have that not many other people unfortunately don't have. And I am grateful for another good year.

Election Reflection

I think that this election in general was crazy because in my opinion I think Bernie Sanders should have won. But a lot of people didn't vote and they can't expect other people to think the same way as them. I think that the results shocked everyone in the country and it really woke up people to how anything is possible and if you don't fight for what you want then you won't get what you want. I think that when I get older I would like to get involved with politics by voting for who I think is going to be the best candidate. Since I will not be able to vote next election I am not that excited. But I am excited for Kanye 2020.

Best Day Ever

The best day ever was when I went to six flags with all my friends and I went on all the rides even though I was really scared. It was a really fun day because I was always really scared to go on the rides before because I thought that I was going to die. But when I was with friends they made me get in line and then they made me get onto the rides. The rides were scary but they were fun. The only thing that wasn't good was that it was cold and raining that day. Also that day was the first day of fright fest. So we got to see the monster parade and then they were chasing us and it was funny how we were all screaming. And that was the best day ever.
