My book is 47 by  Walter Mosley. This book is about a black kid that was born into slavery.Because he was born into slavery he doesn't have a name. He has a number which is 47. His mother died when she gave birth and he doesn't know who his father is. Because he has no parents his guardian is a house maid names Mama Flore. Mama Flore does as much as he can to prevent 47 into becoming a field slave. One day the plantation owner tells Mama Flore that the next day 47 will move to the slave cabin and become a field slave. During that night Mama Flore helps keep 47 calm because she knows that the masters Tobias helper will take 47 with no hesitation. Morning comes and Master Tobias helper takes 47. He struggles to get 47 because 47 finds ways to escape and run back to Mama Flore. Once he got so close that he was almost at the door but then Mama Flore slams the door on his face and when 47 try's to look in through the window Flore closes the curtains. After that 47 fells super hurt because the one person he loved pushed him away. At least that's how he saw it.
